The company
History
NXT began in 2010 as a competition show and became WWE’s developmental brand in 2012 under Triple H. With TakeOver specials and signings from the independents and Japan, it became a fan favorite in its own right. Seth Rollins was its first champion, and Bayley, Sasha Banks, Asuka, Finn Bálor, Kevin Owens and Adam Cole all became stars there.
