Ring of Honor

Founded in 2002 around pure, workrate-first wrestling; the launch pad for Danielson, Punk, Joe, Styles, the Young Bucks and more. Owned by AEW's Tony Khan since 2022.

The company

History

Ring of Honor started in Philadelphia in 2002 with an emphasis on sportsmanship and long, athletic matches, and became the independent scene’s proving ground. Samoa Joe’s long title reign and the Bryan Danielson era defined its first decade, and its alumni went on to headline WWE and AEW. Tony Khan bought the company in 2022, and it now runs alongside AEW.
